Hi there! Welcome to my website, which is still under development.
My name is Helen Callaghan and I'm a writer. I'm planning to use these pages to say a little more about me and my work, and ideally they will expand in due course.
Currently I have finished my novel, Mephistophela, and that is to be submitted to publishers this Autumn. I was delighted when the novel attracted the attention of some great agents and I closed with one in June. Additionally, I'm working on the sequel to Mephistophela (which is so far nameless, however much I rack my brains), as well as some new short fiction.
I'm a member of the T Party writing group in London, and I am also their webmaster. Most of my work is critiqued by them in the regular monthly workshops.
I also keep a blog at Livejournal, available here. In it I describe writing Mephistophela and also the work I'm now doing on the next book.
I am on Facebook as well, and have very recently ventured into Twitter too.
Finally, I am represented by Judith Murray at Greene and Heaton Ltd.
More as it become relevant, and I hope to update again soon!
